| Description |
曹源池庭園 Sogen Pond Garden 方丈室由大方丈室與小方丈室（書院）組成。東面對著中門，西面對著曹源池。東側為正面，曹源池則在裡面。大方丈室建於明治三十二年（1899年），小方丈室為大正十三年（1924年）的建築。大方丈室是天龍寺規模最大的建築，正面和背面有很寬闊的套廊，再往下還有一層護廊。正面的“方丈”匾額出自關牧翁長老（天龍寺第八代管長）手筆。 大方丈室的本尊釋迦如來坐像是重要文物，是天龍寺供奉的佛像中年代最久的佛像，相傳製作于平安時代後期，遠遠早于天龍寺的建造年代。儘管天龍寺遭遇過八次火災，但每次佛像都化險為夷，安然無恙。 |
