| Description |
日本語: 忘勿石「忘勿石 ハテルマ シキナ」。波照間国民学校の校長であった識名信升によって国民学校の青空教室として入学式と授業が行われた場所。疎開地でも教育を続けようとした試みに対し、強制疎開の命令者山下軍曹はそれを中止させた。間もなくマラリアの伝染が始まり、子供達も多くがその命を落とした。わすれな石の碑この10文字は、識名校長が、自らの直訴により疎開を解除し、島に帰る際にひっそりと刻んだもので、ほとんどの者はその存在すら知らなかった。 |
