Deutsch: Im Auftrag des Keksfabrikanten Hermann Bahlsen entwarf der Bildhauer und Architekt Bernhard Hoetger mitten im Ersten Weltkrieg die - später nie realisierte - TET-Stadt. Allerdings schuf er für ein geplantes Repräsentationsgebäude eine Figur einer TET-Göttin in Bronze sowie eine ähnliche, steinerne Skulptur aus rötlichem und aus Sachsen stammenden Porphyr. Die Steinfigur wurde anschließend auf einem Sockel vor dem Haupteingang des repräsentativen Verwaltungsgebäudes der Firma Bahlsen in der Podbielskistraße in Hannover aufgestellt. Zu Beginn der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus wurde die rund 400 Kilogramm schwere und etwa 1,54 Meter hohe Skulptur heimlich bei einer Steinmetzfamilie versteckt, da man Zerstörungen durch den von den Nationalsozialisten geprägten Begriff "Entartete Kunst" fürchtete. Erst Ende des Jahres 2017 meldeten sich die Erben der Steinmetze bei der Firma Bahlsen, die die bis dahin von der Kunstwissenschaft noch kaum wahrgenommene Skulptur nach einer behutsamen Reinigung Anfang Juni 2018 wieder auf den Sockel vor dem Hauptverwaltungssitz platzieren ließ ... |
