Français : À cet endroit sur le Cauberg, ces deux combattants de la résistance néerlandaise furent fusillés le 5 septembre 1944, juste avant la libération de Valkenburg. Arrière plan : le monument pour les tombés de la résistance en province du Limbourg NL. La photo fut prise juste avant la cérémonie commémorative des victimes de la guerre, le 4 mai 2019.
English: Here, in front of the Provincial Resistance Monument on the Cauberg, the underground fighters Sjeng (John) Coenen and Joep (Joe) Francotte were shot on 5 September 1944, just before the liberation of Valkenburg. The photo was taken just before the commemorative ceremony for the victims of the war, on May 4, 2019

Deutsch: Vor dem Denkmal für die Gefallenen des Widerstandes der Provinz Limburg auf dem Cauberg in Valkenburg. Hier wurden die Untergrundkämpfer Scheng (Jean) Coenen und Joep (Jupp) Francotte am 5. September 1944 kurz vor der Befreiung von Valkenburg von Besatzungssoldaten ermordet. Das Foto wurde kurz vor der Gedenkfeier für die Kriegsopfer am 4. Mai 2019 aufgenommen
