Description
Deutsch: Gedenkstätte auf dem Stadtfriedhof Seelhorst in Hannover für 279 Säuglinge und Kleinkinder. Die Kinder wurden im Wöchnerinnenheim Langenhagen-Godshorn von Frauen geboren, die während der Nazi-Zeit als "Ostarbeiterinnen" Zwangarbeit leisten mussten. Die Mütter wurden direkt nach der Geburt wieder zur Arbeit eingesetzt. Die Kinder starben innerhalb weniger Tage bis Monate an "mangelnder Fürsorge". Die Gedenkstätte aus "Bauklötzen" besteht seit 2011 und wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit Schüler_innen der Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Schule gestaltet. Sie befindet sich auf dem Kriegsgräberfeld. Die Gräber der Kinder wurden 2010 offiziell als Kriegsgräber anerkannt.
