Description
Deutsch: Dresden-Räcknitz: Moreau-Denkmal mit den Moreau-Eichen: Am 26./27. April 1813 entschied sich hier die Schlacht bei Dresden. Noch einmal war Napoleon der Sieger. General Jean-Victor Moreau wurde am 27.08.1813 auf der Räcknitzhöhe schwer verwundet und in der nahen Moreauschänke gepflegt, starb aber schließlich wenige Tage später im böhmischen Laun an seiner Verwundung. Das Denkmal entstand 1814 nach einem Entwurf von Gottlob-Friedrich Thormeyer durch Christian Gottlob Kühn.
