I had hoped to see a few 218s this trip but circumstances meant that I didn't hit Munchen with nearly as much time as I expected. I was also chin-strapped (Army term - imagine you are so tired that the only thing apparently keeping you upright is the chin strap on your steel helmet :) ) But then, as i was about to go find beer and sausages I saw a pair of 218s appear. I had, of course forgotten, the regular EC pairs, 2x218 in for 2x218 out and I just had to wait. Apologies if I overindulge in pics here, this may be my last 218-pair given I'm unlikely to get to Germany until the end of next year or even the following one. Conny was the absolute icing on the cake. 218 428 and 218 463 arrive from Zurich while the pair wait to back on. Then 218401 and 218 460 back down, couple up, before powering away with the first pair following up the platform. |
