English: Grand Canyon Trail Crew and Chevo Studios preparing the Desert View Amphitheater site and beginning to install the stone benches, using a telescopic handler to lift and position large slabs of stone.
Photo shows a large slab of stone being being positioned by a telescopic handler within an outdoor amphitheater site that is under construction. Several employees are checking the positioning of the slab, which is suspended by cables. Photo also shows an overview of the site. Several additional benches that have been installed are in the background. In the foreground, leading into the amphitheater, is a staway made of stone slabs. Quinn The site will provide provides opportunities for first-voice cultural interpretation from associated Native American Tribes - including cultural demonstrations - to enhance visitor orientation to both the cultural significance of the site and greater park, as well as information about tourism opportunities on surrounding tribal lands. |
