Description
Deutsch: Die Bedeutung der Verwendung von Ethin in einer [2+2+2]-Cobalt-Cycloaddition, insbesondere die direkte Nutzung von Ethin in anspruchsvollen organischen Reaktionen, wird hervorgehoben. Der Ansatz mit nicht weiter funktionalisiertem Ethin unterstreicht den bahnbrechenden Charakter dieses neuartigen Ansatzes, insbesondere bei der Weiterentwicklung synthetischer Methoden für die Totalsynthese von Strychnin. Die erste erfolgreiche Reaktion dieser Art mit Ethin gelang 1993 und vermied die Nachteile klassischer Dreifachbindungsmaterialien wie BTMSA.
