Description 330-PSA-275-63-1: The antisubmarine weapon – SUBROC – an underwater-fired guided missile designed for long range destruction of enemy submarines is fired from a submarine on the San Clemente range. The new weapon, capable of carrying a nuclear depth bomb, provides a major breakthrough in meeting the threat of missile-firing enemy submarines. Photograph released December 4, 1963. (2015/10/27).
