| Description |
English: This was the current look of the surviving SR West Country Class locomotive 34039 Boscastle when I saw it on display at the 50th anniversary Gala of the Great Central Railway in June last year. Several thousands of pounds worth of items for its overhaul were stolen from the Sheds at Loughborough in July 2022, so the overhaul of the locomotive was delayed as a result. Hopefully things will get better on that side, as it would be great to have the Bulleid Pacific operate on the line again, having last done so back in 2000. |
