Summary
[edit]Description3 Oberon Subs Halifax Harbour Dartmouth 2010 April 21.JPG |
English: In the center: three Canadian Oberon class submarines laid up at a jetty on the Dartmouth side of the Halifax Harbour, opposite CFB Halifax. Most likely one of them is Ojibwa and the others would be Okanagan and the late training boat Olympus. In the background (left to right) parts of the Halifax Shipyards, the A. Murray MacKay Bridge, parts of the Bedford Basin and the Tufts Cove Generating Station are visible. The picture was taken from the bikepath on the Angus L. Macdonald Bridge. HMCS Ojibwa (S72) was saved from scrapping after decommission and later turned into a museum submarine. She is on display at the Elgin Military Museum of St. Thomas, Ontario.
