(c) Thripidan groundpattern, reconstructed after the head of an adult Tubulifera, and Moundthrips. (d) Hemipteran groundpattern. Mandible: blue; maxilla: brown; anterior part of gena (mandibular lobe): yellow; posterior part of gena (maxillary lobe?): green.
