- Crest: From a wreath Or and Gules (Crimson), a wreath of palm Proper superimposed by a demi-griffin rampant of the first charged on the shoulder with a fleur-de-lis Azure and holding in dexter talon a demi-scimitar palewise point to base Argent hilted Gules.

Symbolism
[edit]- Shield: Crimson and yellow are the colors traditionally used by Maintenance. The historic Quartermaster origin of the organization is suggested by the trivet, whose three-footed configuration and fleur-de-lis ornamentation further commemorate service in Europe during World War II. The color black is used to represent service with the Army of Occupation in Germany. The trivet, whose shape suggests the initial M for Maintenance, also refers to the general support mission of the battalion, and the gold rays symbolize the knowledge and enthusiasm which contribute to the successful accomplishment of the unit's mission.
- Crest: The palm symbolizes victory and the geographical locale of Southwest Asia. The two fronds represent the number of campaign participation credits for the Defense of Saudi Arabia and Liberation and Defense of Kuwait. The scimitar commemorates the battalion's Meritorious Unit Commendation for Southwest Asia; the red hilt reflects the color of this decoration and denotes valor and sacrifice. The griffin and fleur-de-lis highlight the unit's World War II campaigns in Central Europe.
