Description

GB Railfreight class 66/7 (JT42CWR) number 66742 (previously 66401 and 66841) named "Port of Immingham Centenary 1912-2012" in First GB Railfreight blue and mustard yellow livery hauling empty gypsum containers mounted on GBRf FEA single intermodal flat wagons from Mountfield Sidings (Gbrf) East Sussex (British Gypsum's Robertsbridge Works) to West Burton Power station (4E19) on 24 March 2014. To comply with gas emission regulations limestone (CaCO3) delivered to the power station (by other trains) is used to remove sulfur dioxide (SO2) from the flue gasses (desulfurisation), by converting it into gypsum (CaSO4·2H2O). The waste product (gypsum) is then delivered by train to British Gypsum's Robertsbridge Works where it is used to manufacture plaster and plasterboard for Greater London and the South East of England. 66401 was built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division, London, Ontario, Canada and unloaded from the Heavy Lift Ship MV "Fairlane" at Newport Docks on 14 October 2000 at 16:20.

Where known identity of the GBRf FEA single intermodal flat wagons, each with 3 containers on, from front to back but not consecutively are as follows 640633, 640678, 640680, 640691, 640667, 640649, 640662, 640654 and 640671.
