Description

IMAGE INFO - Fraser's open cut gold mine was located directly next to the township of Southern Cross, just south of the Great Eastern Highway. This mine has since been abandoned & is full of water - Viewpoint is looking east. - The historic "Palace Hotel" located on the south side of Great Eastern Highway is in the left background of pic.

SOURCE INFO - The original image was captured using a CANON EOS-1 SLR camera with AGFA XRG 100 35mm color film & a TAMRON 28-300mm AF Zoom lens.

PROCESS INFO - Digitized using a CANON Canoscan 8800F scanner.
