Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_87982_DSC08569.jpg Notes: חל דרגה הוא אחד הנחלים המטוילים ביותר במדבר יהודה. חלקו התחתון של הנחל, בקטע הנקרא 'ואדי דרג'ה', נחשב למסלול אתגרי במיוחד: בין מדרגות הנחל הגבוהות ישנן עשרות מכתשות צרות וארוכות, המתמלאות במי השיטפונות לגובה רב, ומחייבות טבילה ושחייה במשך רוב ימות השנה. במבצע שערך בית ספר שדה עין גדי בסיוע חיל ההנדסה בשנת 1973, נקבעו לאורך הנחל יתדות ברזל שאפשרו את הירידה במפלים. השיטפונות החזקים עקרו פעם אחר פעם את היתדות, עד כי הוחלט שלא לקבען עוד, אלא לשמר את הטבעות לקשירת חבלים בלבד. ויקיפדיה
