Description
English: Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam. 1970-01. Two mortarmen duck the muzzle blast of their 81mm mortar as a bomb speeds on its way to the enemy. The soldiers are Private (Pte) Keith Boog of Rockdale, NSW (left) and Pte Brian Hales of Perth, WA, both members of 8th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (8RAR) operating from Fire Support Base Peggy, and taking part in Operation Atherton which concluded on 1970-01-06.
