Summary[edit]
Description8th Street, Lower Price Hill, Cincinnati, OH (27227682917).jpg | These two buildings are among the few remaining buildings along 8th Street in Lower Price Hill. Once lined with commercial and industrial buildings that had apartments on the upper floors and took advantage of the streetcar line along 8th Street, along with the location at the base of an incline railway that connected the downtown basin to the western neighborhoods like Price Hill. Constructed in the 19th Century, these buildings are in a state of disrepair and neglect, with both currently appearing to be empty and having water damage to the ceilings on the upper floors that is visible through missing windows in the rear of the building. Hopefully, these two buildings will see reuse, as they have a lot of historic character, charm, and potential, and their loss would hurt the ability of the corridor and neighborhood to re-urbanize and revitalize in the future. |
