Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_90741_7.jpg Notes: תל יבנה אתר ארכאולוגי גבוה בדרומה של יבנה. שטחו כ־155 דונם. הממצאים הקדומים ביותר בתל הם מתחילת האלף ה־2 לפנה"ס וסמוך התגלו קברים מהאלף ה־4 לפנה"ס. התגלו גם שרידים מתקופת הברונזה הקדומה, תקופת הברזל התקופה הפרסית, הביזנטית ,הערבית, ומהעות'מאנית. בתקופה הצלבנית, ב 1–1140, הוקמה מצודה איבלין על התל. שרידי המצודה נמצאים במקום. הצלבנים הקימו כנסייה גדולה על ראש התל. בכיבוש הממלוכים ב־1244 היא הפכה למסגד. הממלוכים הקימו מינרט צמוד למסגד, המסגד פוצץ בהוראת אלוף פיקוד הדרום משה דיין
