Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_90978_20220922_124205.jpg Notes: בין השנים 1903-1905 נבנה במקום מנזר דו-קומתי סימטרי עם עליית גג רעפים. המנזר כלל בית הארחה, מושב זקנים ומוסד חינוכי, והופעל על ידי הנזירות, שהיו חברות במסדר הבורומאי. מסדר זה נקרא על שמו של הקרדינל הקתולי קרלו בורומיאו, שייסד במאה ה-16 את מסדר האחיות. בבית הארחה, שנקרא גם בשם 'סנט צ'ארלס', התארחו בני כל הדתות והלאומים, בהם אף יהודים רבים.בשנת 1935 הורחב מתחם המנזר, ונבנה בו אגף חדש הכולל כנסייה גדולה. אגף זה, הניצב לדרך בית לחם, תוכנן על ידי הטמפלר, הרמן אימברגר, (all about jerusalem)
