English: Name: Beit Leah - Beit Pardes Description: Located on the northern bank of the Yarkon River near the Neve Yarak settlement. It was built in the 19th century and its purpose was to pump the Yarkon water to irrigate the orchards. A pumping station was placed on the first floor and later on a second floor was added which was probably intended for the temporary residence of the owners of the orchard or the operator of the pump עברית: שם: בית לאה – בית הפרדס תיאור: ממוקם על גדת נחל הירקון הצפונית בסמוך למושב נווה ירק. נבנה במאה ה 19 ותכליתו הייתה לשאוב את מי הירקון להשקיית הפרדסים. בקומה הראשונה הוצב מכון שאיבה ובהמשך בזמן נוספה קומה שניה שכנראה נועדה למגורים זמניים של בעלי הפרדס או מפעיל המשאבה הערות: מקור השם של המבנה, הינה כתובת שרוססה על אחת מקירות המבנה בשנות ה 90 – "לאה המקומטת", שם שהפך לזיהוי המקום ע"י המטיילים שפקדו את המקום. המבנה מגודר ומשולט, שוכן על מסלול שביל ישראל, ומהווה פינת חמד שבה זורם הקטע העליון של נחל הירקון שמקורו במעיינות הירקון שהם מים נקיים, צלולים ורדודים כך שאפשר לטבול בהם בכיף. עצי אקליפטוס סוככים מעל ובגדות הנחל קיימת צמחיית מים אופיינית כמו קנה, הרדופים ועוד. מקור המידע – אתר למטייל בישראל מיקום: בית לאה קובץ מקורי: IMG_1259.jpg |
