Name: Haifa University Library
Description: In the early 1970s the university began to build the library in its current location according to Oscar Niemeyer design as part of the university establishment project.

תיאור: בתחילת שנות השבעים החלו לבנות את הספרייה במיקומה הנוכחי בתכנונו של אוסקר נימאייר במסגרת פרויקט הקמת האוניברסיטה. כחלק מהתפיסה של "אוניברסיטה תחת גג אחד" הוקמה גם הספרייה כספרייה מרכזית המשמשת את כל הפקולטות.
הערות: הספרים עצמם שוכנו בגלריות בארבעה מפלסים. מסדרונות רחבי ידיים, ממזרח הבניין למערבו, הבטיחו חדירה מרבית של אור לספרייה. הוראה מפורשת של האדריכל גלעד אסרה לסגור מסדרונות אלה, לבל יאבד אור היום. שטיחים חומים חדשים הוסיפו חום לספרייה, ומדפים וקירות ספוני עץ ריככו את הקירות והמדפים האפורים. הספריה משתרעת על שטח של 16,000 מ"ר ומכילה יותר מ 2.5 מיליון פריטי מידע.
