Name: The historic train station in Petach Tikva
Description: The station was the terminus of a railway branch (now part of the Yarkon Railway) that split near Rosh HaAin from the eastern railway and was used to transport agricultural produce and cargo to the port of Jaffa.

שם: תחנת הרכבת ההיסטורית בפתח תקווה
תיאור: התחנה הייתה תחנת קצה של שלוחת רכבת (כיום חלק ממסילת הירקון) שהתפצלה ליד ראש העין מהמסילה המזרחית ושימשה להובלת תוצרת חקלאית ומשאות מהמושבה לנמל יפו. השלוחה והתחנה פעלו עד שנת 2000.
הערות: עד הקמת שלוחת המסילה הובילו איכרי המושבה את תוצרתם החקלאית (תפוזים) לנמל יפו בעזרת גמלים. בתקופת מלחמת העולם הראשונה התפתחה תשתית הרכבות ונעשה ברכבות אלו שימוש רב להובלת משאות ולכן פנה וועד המושבה לשלטונות המנדט הבריטי בבקשה לאשר סלילת מסילת רכבת שתחבר את המושבה למסילה המזרחית. לאחר אישור השלטונות תרמו פיק"א והברון רוטשילד את הכספים שנדרשו לפרויקט. במסגרת חוזה ההקמה שנחתם בין וועד המושבה והנהלת הרכבת התחייב הוועד למינימום נוסעים ומטען בעוד שהנהלת הרכבת התחייבה לא להפעיל את הרכבת בשבת (ויקיפדיה)
