Summary[edit]

Description A Royal Australian Air Force Curtiss A-25A Shrike in flight over the United States, circa in 1943. A land-based variant of the U.S. Navy SB2C-1, 150 A-25s were ordered by the RAAF to fill the dive-bomber role. Due to its long development, only 10 (serials A69-1 to A69-10) were delivered in November 1943 after the perceived need for them had passed.
Note: The original description reads "SB2C-5 in the markings of the French Navy pictured in flight." However, the aircraft wears RAAF markings and the letter "A" of the RAAF serial "A69" is faintly visible in front of the tail.
