Description
English: A U.S. Navy North American A-5A Vigilante bomber (BuNo 149285) from heavy attack squadron VAH-7 Peacemakers of the Fleet landing on the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVAN-65) in 1963. VAH-7 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 6 (CVG-6) aboard the Big E for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 6 February to 4 September 1963. The aircraft was later converted to an RA-5C reconnaissance plane and crashed on 21 May 1966 while in service with heavy reconnaissance squadron RVAH-5 Savage Sons aboard the USS America (CVA-66). The crew could eject.
