Description

El #EmbajadorHaney y la Ministra de Justicia, Cecilia Sánchez, inauguraron la primera Unidad Canina Regional de la Policía Penitenciaria, ubicada contiguo al Centro Penitenciario de Puntarenas.


En estas instalaciones, donadas por Estados Unidos, estarán seis de los treinta perros adiestrados con la cooperación de Estados Unidos.


El fortalecimiento de la Unidad Canina de la Policía Penitenciaria ha incluido la certificación de entrenadores, paramédicos caninos y el desarrollo de infraestructura especializada para las unidades caninas, con el apoyo de la Oficina Internacional de Asistencia Antinarcóticos y Aplicación de la Ley de Estados Unidos (U.S. Department of State: Bureau of Intl Narcotics & Law Enforcement (INL))
