Description
English: The golden bootleg or golden cap mushroom (Phaeolepiota aurea) can be found throughout Eurasia and North America. In Europe it is considered a rare species. This picture is part of a five image series showcasing the transformation of the fruit body's cap during growth. The cap of the specimen measures about 147 mm in diameter.
