One km long stretch on the edge of a lake that probably hosts around a 1000+ birds of all sizes and no raptors. 3 different weavers, their nests and partners. It was a wonderful lesson in birding for me. Females are tough to sight in all the three, more so in the Black Breasted and Streaked. I think all the females are polyandrous, and the males take care of the young. I could observe the nest constructions (which are quite similar), habitat for nests (which are similar, but different in ways), and height of nests - which vary by species. Baya Weaver Nests in trees / Shrubs on the edge of the water bodies. Usually high above the ground, between 8-12 feet above ground. They are also resident birds in our state and most populous.
