Summary[edit]

Description

After 2 weeks could step out again and the weather was perfect. Found 100's of these weaver still in the countryside - they would have normally flown away back to their home territories in northern India after their winter sojourn in the south.

But due to climate change, the usually hot summer weather is just like winter this year - much to our comfort. And the weavers are still around and making nests too. Some do remain back every year, but am not sure if such large numbers like this time stay back - last summer, it wasn't the case for sure.

All 3 types of weavers could be seen next to each other. The Baya Weavers - nesting on trees, Black-Breasted on grass blades / reeds on the edges of lakes / Ponds and Streaked Weavers on the smaller roadside shrubs.
