Summary[edit]

Description

These barbets are one of the loudest birds in the forests when they are present. The bird has a very unique and easily identifiable call that repeats for long times continuously. I had heard those calls several times and maybe seen them from far. But this is the closest I have to a decent pic of the bird.

The forest we visited over the weekend had maybe around 20 of these and they were basically everywhere. They often perch on the tallest branch and make loud calls to attract a partner.

This is not a shot I am satisfied / happy, but am happy I got a shot of the bird. I would love an eye level shot with green background, but I am not sure where I would them like that.
