Summary[edit]

Description

The coconut trees in the area are dry and many of them are hollow with several holes in them. One or two of those trees broke midway (during a storm probably) and had opening on the top which the Owls preferred to make nests. But several parakeets also made nests in the hollows around and they were quite vary of the Owlets which are predators and could attack their nests.

The Rose Ringed Parakeets dominated the fight with the Owlets. The mother left the nest to get some food and both the Owlets were quite nervous. But one was quite brave and put up a bit of resistance. The other one inside the nest was quite nervous and it shows. Luckily the Parakeets are not killer birds. They may scare, but I don't know of any case where Parakeets killed some birds or chicks.

After a while, the area become quiet with Parakeets accepting the presence of the Owlets.
