Summary

[edit]
Description This has got to be one of the most beautiful lintel panels I have seen in a long, long time. And this is fixed above the doorway to one of the shrines to the Confucius temple in the Temple of Literature in Hanoi, Vietnam. Although the panel appears pink, it's actually in dark coffe brown colour matching the rest of the woodwork. Embellishments are in red- gold. It appears in this colour as this picture was taken in natural light, without flash, and so that's the bright light from a nearby open window which gives it the pink hue.
