I had never seen so many Tickell's before in one place. There may have been 5-6 of them in a 100 sq mt area. The birds were continually making calls and songs - which sound like a long musical whistle. After a few shots, we just enjoyed watching the action and listening to the songs. Shooting under the canopy meant that the birds rest in the shade while the background is lit up with the bright sun creating an uneven kind of light. I had to raise the exposure to +2.7 to get sufficient brightness for my subject. And thankfully the bird cooperated completely for me to get a decent shot.
