Description

Who knew there was an Osprey right behind my place! And there it was, apparently a regular visitor. Everyday I go there around 3 PM (~ 2 min drive from my home to the lake behind) and wait for it. Been lucky twice, once to see in action and another day it was just perched on a far off tower for the whole evening. The Osprey prefers this lake since it is not deep and in one side is just 2-3 feet deep max - the preferred depth for it to hunt. The lake is also teeming with over 500,000 small fish the fisheries department dumped into the lake to help the local fisherman sustain. But most of these fish were small and only a few are as big as the one the bird caught. Another 2-3 months and the fish will get bigger and hope there will be more action.
