| Description | A view inside Peaceful Loft Veg. Restaurant, St. John's. Delighted at having discovered this gem, my son and I expectantly pushed the door open that wet, icy cold and rainy evening, only to be met by the gentle Chinese elderly owner who said 'sorry, we are closed, you can try again tomorrow'. Off putting to say the least, especially considering that we were rather peckish and in that foul weather! Still undeterred, we did try the next day. The owner turned out to be a gentle old soul from Macau, and the food in the restaurant was to die for. We ended up eating dinner there on 3 of the 4 days we spent in St. John's. (St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, June 2015) |
