Description
Français : Filasse bactérienne (bactéries filamenteuses essentiellement constituée de bactéries Sphaerotilus natans, bactéries qui apprécie notamment certains sucres et survit dans une eau chaude et très pauvre en oxygène) tapissant (dans les années 1990) le fond de la rivière Aa, y étouffant la flore et la plupart des organismes (hormis larves de chironome plumeux, tubifex et une espèce de petite sangsue particulièrement résistantes. L'eutrophisation était maximale à Blendecques après le point de rejet de la 4ème papeterie de la vallée, dans le centre de la commune, et en zone inondable). La branche donne l'échelle des filaments ; son diamètre est d'environ 1 cm

English: Bacterial carpet (mainly composed of filamentous bacteria Sphaerotilus natans) lining (in 1990) the bottom of the river Aa, killing and stifling most part of organisms (except larvae of chironomids, tubifex colonies and a small leech species particularly resistants. Eutrophication was maximal at Blendecques after the outfall of the 4th Epuration stationery of the valley in the center of the town, and floodplain). To give a scale : the branch is about 1cm in diameter
