| Description |
English: Garratt NG/G16 No.138 (the red one) with the "regular" service from Caernarfon to Porthmadog seen between Snowdon Ranger and Rhyd Ddu. Still raining but by late morning it was only heavy-ish rather than being monsoon-ish! Even Llyn Cwellyn had appeared as the rain lessened. I'm not sure when anyone last lived in the ruined hafod but I do know that I used the railway line as a de facto footpath back in 1983 when walking from Snowdon Ranger to Nant Gwynant - not very welcome or a good idea since the re-opening of the line!
