Français : Le plus vieux chemin de fer à vapeur à crémailière d'Europe ( 1889-2010)

Construit il y a 121 ans, le chemin de fer à vapeur à crémaillère est encore le témoin authentique du passé et de la grande époque des chemin de fer à vapeur. Les 4 locomotives à vapeur du chemin de fer à crémaillère comptent parmi les plus anciennes locomotives en activité du monde, si l’on considère leurs horaires réguliers.

En haletant et en sifflant, les 4 locomotives à vapeur parcourent les quelque 6.78 kilomètres de Jenbach vers Seespitz jusqu’au lac d'Achensee situé à une altitude de 930 mètres. Les roues à crémaillères des locomotives s’agrippent aux crémaillères au milieu du tracé permettant au train de venir à bout d'une pente de 160 pour-mille et une différence de hauteur de 440 mètres. Pour les amis du rail, les familles, les groupes, les écoles, pour tous ceux qui veulent vivre une nouvelle fois encore un voyage dans le passé.
