Meist handelt es sich um eine Achsensymmetrie (Spiegelsymmetrie, bilaterale Symmetrie) mit senkrechter Symmetrieachse. Die Symmetrieachse kann auch waagerecht, z. B. bei Wasserspiegelungen, oder selten schräg verlaufen. |
