Description
Español: El 5 de julio de 2015 la UNESCO declaró como Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad al Sistema Hidráulico del Acueducto del Padre Tembleque. El Acueducto se erigió en 1554 —durante 17 años— hasta 1571, por 40 comunidades indígenas. Es nombrado así en honor a Fray Francisco de Tembleque; misionero franciscano que, poco tiempo después de haberse consumado la conquista española en 1521, llegó a la Nueva España con el fin de evangelizar a los habitantes de la zona de Otumba.
