Description
English: Aerial view of part of the southern town of Gardner (top and center) and part of the northern town of Brussels (bottom) in Door County, Wisconsin, taken July 27, 2020. Wisconsin Highway 57 is in the bottom right corner.

Gardner Swamp State Wildlife Area (upper center) is a recreational area. Brussels Hill is not a recreational area and is privately owned, although County Trunk Highway K climbs onto the side of the hill, curving as it passes east-west (bulge is a little to the left in the lower part of the photograph). The hills is a round shape, with the top flat, not wooded, and lower in elevation than the peak. The rocks in the quarry in the middle of the hill are fractured (photo from Emily Zawacki, published on LiveScience).
