Summary[edit]

Description

Gregory Air Services began operations (as Gregory Air Taxis) in 1963 and by the mid-60s had quite an assorted fleet, including this Commander. G-ASIO had started life as N6236X, then become N444H and N4441 before joining the UK Register in May 1963, imported for a Gatwick-Scilly Isles service with Scillonian Air Services. It passed to Gregory in Feb 1965 and I photographed it in their colours at Southend on 12 Apr 1965. After passing through several more ownerships, it was sold in the USA as N1527T in Oct 1977.
