For example, according to a 2010 study Arabs constitute 33.6% of the population in Khuzestan Province (source: Bahrani, Nawal; Modarresi Ghavami, Golnaz (August 2021). "Khuzestani Arabic". Journal of the International Phonetic Association. 51 (2): 299–313. doi: 10.1017/S0025100319000203. S2CID 235915108.) The 2nd edition of Minahan's book (published in 2016 by the same publisher) has changed the name of this entry to "Ahwazi" (on pages 12 and 13) which does not contain any information about percentage of ethnic groups in Khuzestan province. |  |
