| Description |
English: The permanent air-quality monitoring station established by Eesti Energia in cooperation with the Environmental Investment Centre to Sinimäe was connected to the national online network of monitoring stations in 2017. The permanent monitoring station measures the concentration of several components in the ambient air, providing valuable information for future air quality management. The data the national network of monitoring stations are available at www.ohuseire.ee. To monitor air quality, the European Environment Agency (EEA) and the European Commission use the European Air Quality Index which is based on information from more than 2,000 air quality monitoring stations across Europe. According to the index, Estonia's air quality is better than in many other European countries. |
