Description

In case you're wondering, he's using an Iwata airbrush. He has an airbrush studio in Pontiac, where he works and teaches, and his wife was also at the show, handing out promo materials for his business.

And he's the first airbrush artist since the Chicago Tribune's Ray Schlemon in the early 1980's that I have ever seen work in a dress shirt, dress slacks and loafers.

Considering that most airbrushers, myself included, dress like they're headed for the skate park, it's a jarring (and pleasant) surprise. A fitting, professional image for the city of Pontiac, IL, whose mayor was also at the display, promoting tourism along Route 66.
