Description
English: Aksdal Church in Tysvær municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The church was designed by architect Stein Jarle Helgeland and was consecrated in 1995. The brick building is located in the center of Aksdal, with Aksdal shopping center and Tysværtunet cultural center, care home, swimming facility, and other amenities right nearby. The picture was taken on a November afternoon with warm light and long shadows from the low sun that is about to set.
Norsk bokmål: Aksdal kyrkje i Tysvær kommune i Rogaland fylke. Kirken ble tegnet av arkitekt Stein Jarle Helgeland og ble innviet i 1995. Musteinsbygget ligger ved Lars Hertervigs plass i Aksdal sentrum med Aksdal kjøpesenter og Tysværtunet kulturhus som åpnet i 1993, Tysværtunet omsorgsheim (bosenter og omsorgsboliger), Tysværtunet badeanlegg fra 1999, bibliotek og annet rett ved. Bildet er tatt en novemberettermiddag med varmt lys og lange skygger fra den lave sola som er i ferd med å gå ned.
