English: The Honorable Madeleine K. Albright gave the introductory remarks as NATO holds a Strategic Concept Seminar in Luxembourg on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, to outline NATO's fundamental security tasks for the future. Topics ranged from NATO's contribution to global security to adapting deterrence in the 21st century with aims such as get a common understanding of major changes in the security environment and the implications of these changes for NATO's essential purpose and contribution to the freedom and security of its members.
