| Description |
English: Built in 1901, this Venetian Gothic Revival and Romanesque Revival-style building features a buff brick front facade and tower and red brick side and rear facades, a hipped roof with gables to the west and south, stained glass windows, roman arched bays with stained glass windows and doors with arched stained glass transoms, a corner tower with decorative pinnacles and a belfry partially clad in aluminum siding, a rough-hewn stone base, decorative rough-hewn stone trim, and a two-story rear wing with a red brick exterior and hipped roof. The building no longer serves as the home of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, but is one of many excellent examples of architecture along Chapline Street in Center Wheeling. |
