Alexander Avendaño (Alex El Melómano) cantante Colombiano nacido el 7 de marzo de 1976 creció en un ambiente musical por medio de sus abuelas privilegiadas con lindas voces Amelia Mora Zúñiga y Rubianeza Benjumea de Avendaño de parte de sus abuelos compositor uno de esos temas llamado "la muy indigna" escrito por Julio Escobar Muñoz , su abuelo Víctor Julio Avendaño guitarrista. Desde muy niño empezó a cantar el genero Ranchero y Salsa en centro comerciales y varios eventos de diferentes comunidades su primera presentación en televisión fue en un concurso llamado Soneros por el canal telepacifico en Cali . También otro de sus talentos es la composición y poder escribirle al amor y al desamor . En el ano 1990 emigro a Usa donde su talento se potencio al poder aprender de grandes maestros poder compartir y ser corista de varios artistas de la talla de los maestros Héctor lavoe, Frankie Ruiz, Tito Nieves , Raulin Rosendo, Cuco Valoy, Maelo Ruiz y otros. de la mano de la gran cantante y compositora Elizabeth 'Mimi' Ibarra el maestro Julio Chino moreno, El maestro Rene Arauz marco gran parte en su crecimiento musical.
